Coast Guard Auxiliary
The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary is made up of volunteer resources throughout Canada specializing in search, rescue and safe boating programs. In our region, a team of thirty volunteers, Unit 33, is responsible for covering the portion of the Richelieu River from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to the Canada-US border. They are based at Marina Gagnon in Saint-Paul-de-l’Île-auxNoix.
Coast Guard Auxiliary emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There are three ways you can join them:
- *16 on your cell phone
- Channel 16 on VHF
- Dialing 1-800-463-4393.
